Wallflowers
To me, the overall poem means that words are not much if no one uses them. They are sad and just sitting there waiting to be used. The writer is telling us that we should use words that are not commonly used. The like that says "they say that if you use a word three times it is yours" confuses me. i do not understand what it means and why it is in the poem. i really like the line that says "what happens to the words that no one speaks." I feel like this was her reason for writing the poem. She had a question and she wrote a poem to try to understand it for herself. I like this poem because i like reading a point of view from someone who is so passionate about words. She sees the words like they are flowers and i like think that i really interesting because i do not and i had never really thought of words as flowers before.
